We brought him home from the Animal Shelter at 3 months of age. This gorgeous 6 yr old is a real teddy bear. He just wants to be loved. He doesn't like other dogs except his housemate, a 2 yr old boxer/lab that we helped bottle feed from 2 days old. We've had him since our daughter was 5 and he was always good around her. We also have 2 cats, one older and one younger than him and he tolerates them well. They rub up against him and he doesn't mind. He has calcium deposits in his left front ankle/elbow that he has had since he was a pup. He does limp, but it doesn't keep him from running around the yard and wrestling/playing with his buddy Kona. (We give him Trader Joe's Glucosamine Condroitin for dogs.) They are great pals, never far from each other and both are up for adoption. We hope to keep them together if at all possible, but I have a time limit to find home/s for them. He's never had any other health problems. They both love rawhide "flips" and will "sit/lay down/speak/stand up" for them. Kona loves to fetch and Nikko chases him. Both have calm personalities unless you haven't been home all day.
