Our first two kitties cost $5,000 and $8,000 back then due to their rarity. Even today Munchkins are uncommon and expensive.
Highly prized for their short, well muscled legs, kittenish physique which lasts into adulthood and their puppylike temperament, Munchkins make a statement wherever they go. Munchkins are friendly and are easy to keep in small quarters like apartments. Because they are so trainable they easily learn not to jump on furniture and can be trained to respond to simple commands such as "sit" or "fetch" or "sit up", but what is especially nice about Munchkins is that you can speak to them in normal conversation and they can understand and respond. For example, my Munchkin, Cheddar, when asked to give a family member some loving would walk over to that person and begin to give a mush. When asked to give another member some loving he would then go to that person and give them a mush. My Munchkins also enjoy rolling over like a dog to have their tummies rubbed.
Imagine how good you will feel when you are greeted everytime you come home to your faithful Munchkin who is glad to see you. You will never feel alone since my Munchkins enjoy being nearby as a companion in every activity you enjoy. They also know how to get out of your way when you come home with your arms full of groceries. Munchkins are like having the best of a cat and the best of a dog wrapped up in one adorable package. Munchkins can be kept alone or in multiples since they are so small and will not be on your counters or knocking things off your refrigerator.
My Munchkins mature at 4lbs to 10lbs but are smaller than you think for that weight since my line has nicely dense bones and is well-muscled. (The average pet cat weight is 9lbs to 16lbs.) CAUTION: Since my Munchkins are so trusting and gentle they could easily be harmed by toddlers who fall on them or while carrying them or by children/people that are not gentle.

PS: Yes, we do use crates for our momma cats so they can retreat from the dogs and people in the house and to prevent alpha females from stealing the kittens of others.
