I recently rescued an African Side Neck turtle (aka: african hemelted turtle). He spends a lot of time in the water. The really cool thing about him is he doesn't pull his head back into his shell...instead he turns it sideways and shows his neck (thats how it got the name). He is back to health and ready for a good home, because im leaving for school soon.

-He eats feeder fish, cantaloupe, turtle sticks, fish flakes, bugs...he isn't real picky. I spend $1 a week for 10 fish.
-Really cool looking guy, not like in the pet stores.
-I gave him a name, Buzibu, its an african name meaning 'open water'. (of course u can change it).
-He has a little knick out of his shell, but its healing quite nicely.
-He was in a 10gal tank, but thats too small. Now he is in a big clear sterilite container that i cut and put chicken wire on for his lights.
-He is somewhere between 6-7 inches if i had to guess. Abut the size of my open hand.
-Being from Africa, he needs warm water and a basking area.
-He is easily handled, but pretty shy.

Included:
-Him (the tutle of course)
-2 reptile lamps and bulbs (UVA/UVB)
-His home-made enclosure
-Tetra Submergible water heater, brand new, 10-30gal.
-all the food i got ( bout 8 fish, full can of reptile sticks, meal worms)
-vitamin spray (to help with that knick)
-basking rocks
-No More Algae tablets
-fish net (for easy feeding)
-little container for feeder fish to stay until used.
-Food for the feeder fish.
-towel
Like i said im leaving for school soon...so i cant keep him. He is a swell little guy. Im asking a rehoming fee ($100) to be sure he does get taken care of and not dumped in a pond somewhere. Serious inquiries please.
