Ruby is a lovely example of the mix of athleticism, temperament, conformation, gaits and beauty found in the Irish Sporthorse. Ruby is a gorgeous young feminine filly who is destined to be someone's fabulous partner. She is intelligent, willing and has a lovely gentle demeanor. Ruby has been consistently handled and is currently in part time weekly training (due to her young age) and she ties, cross ties, stands well for the farrier and vet, is easy to catch, leads well and overall has exemplary ground manners. Ruby has been working for some time on a lunge line and is comfortable in side reins and in a surcingle. Ruby is started wearing a saddle and a bridle but due to her late birth date (end of August) we have not begun riding her yet. Ruby has been exposed to quite a bit of chaos that surround a large facility including many other horses in the arenas, dogs, children, stallions vehicles and assorted other things. Ruby should mature to 16.1-16.3 hands and will develop into an outstanding mare. Ruby is healthy and sound and has absolutely no vices. Ruby is sired by Hang On Johnny (RID): who was a conformation champion as a young horse in Ireland, is approved by the Irish Horse Board: was exported to Wales and was an eventing regional champion and then was exported to the US to have a career as a jumping horse. Johnny is very sound of limb and foot and Ruby has excellent feet and legs as well.
