I have 1 male Degu. He requires a large all,metal hamster cage but preferably bigger. He is friendly and doesn't bite but will mouth out of affection. If you don't know what a Degu is it's like a gerbil but bigger. He eats a mixture of fresh veggies, chinchilla food, and guinea pig food. He needs a chinchilla dust bath once a month at least. He can't have fruit and his tail will break if you pull on it or pick him up by it. Their fast so don't put him on the floor. He needs a ball and a wheel. He's about ten months old.
