Impressive Brass Bar aka Talon is 5 yrs old. I have had him since he was a 2yr old colt, done all of his training. He has excellent ground manners, and a nice ride.
Stands for vet, will tolerate farrier but not his favorite activity (had a BAD farrier tending him at one point in time) ties, trailers like a dream.
Easy keeper, easy to catch, groom, saddle. Quick learner. Knows barrel patterns. Has had a rope thrown off of him, and took it all very well. Will chase a cow. Likes kids. Has given children's lessons. Very laid back and would rather take a nice trail ride than run 18 second barrels (which he is capable of) He has an awesome trot. A very thick horse when he has been worked consistently, but we just don't have the same activities in mind when it comes to riding. He loves water, and swims. Will go anywhere you ask. Pastures well with other horses, except at feeding time, he will "bump" them to make them move.
No kick, bite, or rear. He will buck if you try to manhandle or put spurs on him. But I don't blame him for that one bit. Other than that, he doesn't buck.
I'm looking to sell him or trade for a faster-paced horse, preferably under 8 yrs old. Or would trade for one/two+ colts/fillies. Looking for b/w appaloosa also, (I'd give my left arm for that) lol.
Have TONS of pics of him under saddle, and not. Pictures show just how relaxed he is. He is not a spook of any kind. Will ride next to semitrucks and traffic all day.
