Sahoulas are the first American developed sight-hound there development will be with held due to we want to make this breed pure for the standard we a working for. We are the only breeders of these dogs, we have been breeding them sence 1998. Only producing four litters due to we our trying to produce a certine standerd for this breed. We don't want this to be just some designer breed. The Sahoula is a sight hound with a working dog drive. We have worked Sahoulas with lure coursing, hearding, conformation, and protection work. Sahoulas have a greyhound like structure with wild coat and eye coloring. The only health problems we have discovered in this breed is that some of the solid whites and white marbles with double glass eyes can sometimes have hearing loss or bad vision. We have produced 8 of these and out of the 8 2 had problems. The others had no signs of problems. We are going to post Photos of our litter born Aug 1,08. We had 4 pups 3F 1M. Any Sahoula that dose not meet our breed standerd is spayed or nutered before placed into a pet home.
