All of my adults and hatchlings are raised under Mega Rays or Zoo Med 10.0 UVA/UVB bulbs to ensure they get the proper lightning and vitamins required for proper growth. All of these hatchlings get Calcium on their crickets 5 days a week and once a week they get a multi-vitamin with them I also use a product called "Da Good Stuff" with my dragons and I have found my dragons to be much more healthy active and grow faster with this top end multivitamin. My hatchlings are raised on paper towels and never come in contact with sand there for eliminating the worry of impaction, thus a much happier healthy dragon!
All of these hatchlings are water bowl trained and food bowl trained they love their veggies and if veggies are given at the same time as crickets they will eat the veggies first. I always introduce my hatchlings to Veggies at the same time as crickets to ensure a dragon that loves their veggies and wont fuss over them.The Hatchlings are currently eating 1/2" Crickets small Horn Worms, and Phoenix works with a mix of Veggies such as Kale, Mustard Greens, Turnip Greens, Endive, Escarole, and Squash with the occasional fruit.
I am a small private breeder and I don't put out hundreds of babies like many breeders I put special care and love into each and every one of our adults and babies so that I can provide the new owners with a happy healthy easy to handle pet that will be with them for a long time. My dragons are more then pets to me they are my kids and part of the family each dragon has a name special items that him or her like they are also bathed twice a week and let out to run and be handled everyday. We even have a special cage so when the weather is good our dragons can go outside in the sun, there is no bulb that can replace the actual sun and we try to ensure our dragons get outside atleast three times a week.
